About Us
Our Vision
“We have evolved to be an integral part of a tribe of hundreds, now we sit alone, connected to billions”.
As human beings, we are intrinsically and literally a part of nature, a part of this Earth. It is only very recently in our human story that we have built artificial boxes around ourselves and created an illusion that nature is something separate, something that we have to travel into; to experience externally, as a separate entity.

Elemental Nomad is built on two principles:
reconnection through immersive outdoor experiences
&
community through shared experience
“We have gained so much knowledge, but lost too much wisdom”.
Elemental Nomad’s vision is to help individuals break this ultimately toxic illusion, to bring people together, to grow and learn, to immerse ourselves in nature as we are designed to be, utilising outdoor activities as the vehicle to achieve this and to work towards the principles of the three R’s:

REWILD
We will be fully embracing our wild sides. Getting in the water, getting our hands in the Earth, tasting and nourishing ourselves from the wild plants that are growing in our landscape.
RECONNECT
Through learning about nature and moving through her, we will gain a massive appreciation for the gifts and wonder of the Earth which leads us to a deep reconnecting back to the Earth. Through working together, growing together and helping each other overcome challenging outdoor activities, we will reconnect with ourselves and to the group to truly feel a part of the tribe. These reconnections are a yearning that I believe is inside all of us.
RESTORE
It is well known to science that spending time outside, in the forests, immersing ourselves in cold water, has a multitude of physiological and psychological benefits. Coupling this with the sense of tribal community we will gain with the group, we will ultimately restore a greater mental, physical and spiritual health.

About Josh
A Journey Back to Nature
Growing up on the outskirts of North London, I always felt a deep yearning for a stronger connection to the natural world. As a young boy, I didn’t have the language or understanding to explain it — only the feeling. Frustrated, I would repeatedly write the words “FEEL CLOSER TO NATURE” in my diary, unsure how to make that longing a reality.
I remember looking at the trees and promising myself that one day I would know all their names and stories. Now I do.
As an adult, extensive travel and a life spent working outdoors showed me the path I had been searching for.
Outdoor Activities
For most of my adult life, I have worked across the UK and around the world as an outdoor instructor and guide. From sea kayak guiding in the fjords of New Zealand, to surf instructing in Australia, coasteering in Cornwall, and teaching bushcraft in the New Forest, I have seen first-hand how immersive outdoor experiences reconnect us to the natural world. More than that, I have witnessed how they enhance wellbeing, confidence, and overall happiness.
Bushcraft
Bushcraft is my deepest passion. Through spending time alone in wild places, I’ve discovered a way to access a deeper part of myself — not simply moving through nature, but truly feeling part of it. Learning the names, uses, and folklore of native plants, tracking animals, reading landscapes, and practising primitive fire-lighting has cultivated a profound inner sense of belonging and connection to the land.
Purpose
I strongly believe that my purpose is to help others rediscover this same connection. By guiding people back into meaningful relationships with nature in a fun and exciting way, I aim to support individual well-being while also nurturing a deeper respect and care for the Earth itself.
